SVADBA EP by Max Deadroom

Max Deadroom is the musical project and production handle of Max Lewis, like the SVADBA EP (2023), and the Neighbors EP (2020), and other performance and multimedia compositions. Max Deadroom focuses on making multi-modal experiences, generative music, machine learning as well traditional singer/songwriter composition. Through multi-instrumental performance that incorporates a mix of unique sound design systems, synth-patching, and sampling, Deadroom attempts to blur the lines between the digital and analog, the artificial and organic, and until the line between their oppositions becomes almost arbitrary. Deadroom's latest single, stay_w_me_pls (2024) is now streaming and featured is featured in Convergence Station's Galleri Gallery as part of the 'Something Has Happened!' showcase by Hayley 'Starr' @starrsprite

TOG PEBBLES by Way Yes

Way Yes is a four-piece music project from Columbus, OH. Max Lewis performed as lead drummer, multi-instrumentalist, and conductor. Lewis also facilitated recording, engineering and mixing production of the greater body of the band's collective output. Way Yes' first LP, Tog Pebbles was released on Lefse Records in May 2013, getting traction in the blog rock era with coverage in both stereogum and Pitchfork, amongst others. Way Yes remains a cult favorite amongst bands of the era, a status that continues due to the exposure garnered from contributing music to various network television shows over the years, and featured more recently on Hulu's popular High Fidelity reboot series in 2020.

Demo Reel (2022)

A variety of projects, both commercial and musical, mashed together for time and emphasis. Content ranging from voice over work to mixing for electronic music, indie, rock and jazz orchestra. I mixed and/or mastered all materials (see Soundcloud listing for further detail/credits). Feel free to ask for additional reel/demo content, if needed.
MASTERING
Do you want to know a secret?
Most mastering engineers don't even know what they are doing.  I am no longer surprised by the trend, nor think you should be lied to in-lieu of a quick scam or charade. While AI is being clumsily ham-fisted into every digital experience, my work as a mastering engineer still charters a great divide compared to what artificial services can provide. When I produce, there are no smoke and mirrors or quick sound hacks. My work is based on thousands of hours of experience and with an attention to detail that other services lack.
So if you want to have a unique sound that meets all of the highest standards of today's modern streaming services, vinyl productions, and radio ads, then consider borrowing my ears for the final act. Rest assured, it's a safer bet than whatever AI decides to slap onto your master track!
