My Three Fundamental Principles

Attention: I have over a decade of experience as a music technology educator and multimedia content creator in  Ohio and Colorado. Whether for large, state-funded institutions or for small non-profits, I have worked tirelessly to create equitable digital literacy programming that taps into students' inherent creativity while also proving to be demonstrably useful. In 2023, I received my Masters in the Recording Arts from the University of Colorado. During that time I honed my skills as a scholar and educator. Paying attention to the finer details of your artistic pursuits, whether it be musical, a podcast, or similar idea, allows me anticipate the needs of those I work with, and for a better result from our collaboration. Long story short: I know when to work with you, when to work for you, and when to know the difference!

Invention: Music was my first love, but it proved the perfect gateway for pursuing my interest in other digital media. Now that it has become a full-blown affair, my recent projects include producing and scoring documentary films, as well as creating unique hardware and software for audio-visual control, production and performance. I am currently working on programming with microcontrollers, generative composition, AI, and what the future of technology means for how we interface with music, art and media in a multi-modal future. In 2022, I was awarded for my work as a filmmaker, director and videographer in domestic and international film circuits.

Intention: My work is grounded in producing multimedia as an audio engineer, visual artist, music producer, and videographer. Whether it's organic or digital, personal or professional, for almost twenty years I have strived to work on projects that reflect my love of the process as well as the final product. To adeptly juggle so many different mediums, hardware & software in chorus, there has to be a sustained quality across all different stages of the production process. Loving the process is part of the end result. If someone's 'heart is not in it', then it isn't worth beating for. I strive to create things that have a strong pulse and a defined purpose.
